Children and Family Service
This counselling and emotional wellbeing service is for children aged 5-16 years old and their families, who live in Forth Valley and have been affected by abuse including neglect, sexual, physical, and/or emotional abuse.
This service has been specifically developed for:
- Young people aged between 5 and 16
- Who have experienced neglect, physical abuse, emotional abuse and/or sexual abuse
- Living in Clackmannanshire, Falkirk or Stirling
- The family members directly in contact with the young person affected by abuse
The young person or carer (If preferred) will be contacted by a triage worker within 2 weeks to double-check that this service is suitable for you. Depending on the age of the person this can happen in a variety of ways such as face-to-face or by video call. This appointment is used to help you understand the service we provide and to assess your needs and risk level. A more in-depth assessment will take place approximately 8 weeks later.
